Trademark Classes

Trademark application can be filed for marks which you are already using or is planning to use in future. It is commonly applied as Word mark and Device mark. Trademark application can be filed for business name or brand name, logo, label, slogan, tagline, in regional language scripts, jingles, smell etc.
You can file any number of trademark applications for the same mark for various products or services. It is important to cover all related goods and services to avoid problems in future. Example: Classes 24, 25, 35 and 40 for Textile and Clothing companies; Classes 29, 30, 32 and 35 for Food and Beverages companies. However, each application under each class will be treated as separate when fee is calculated.

Goods Classes (1 to 34)

Class 1 – Chemicals
Chemicals used in industry, science and photography, as well as in agriculture, horticulture and forestry; unprocessed artificial resins and plastics; manures; fire extinguishing compositions; tempering and soldering preparations; chemical substances for preserving foodstuffs; tanning substances; adhesives used in industry.


Class 2 – Paints and Coatings
Paints, varnishes, lacquers; preservatives against rust and wood deterioration; colorants and dyes; inks for printing, marking and engraving; raw natural resins; metals in foil and powder form for painting and decorating.


Class 3 – Cosmetics and Cleaning Preparations
Non-medicated cosmetics and toiletry preparations; perfumery and essential oils; non-medicated dentifrices; bleaching preparations and cleaning, polishing, scouring and abrasive preparations.


Class 4 – Industrial Oils and Fuels
Industrial oils and greases; lubricants; dust absorbing and binding compositions; fuels and illuminants; candles and wicks for lighting.


Class 5 – Pharmaceuticals and Medical Supplies
Pharmaceutical, medical and veterinary preparations; sanitary preparations; dietetic food for medical use; dietary supplements; disinfectants; fungicides, herbicides and preparations for destroying vermin.


Class 6 – Common Metals
Common metals and their alloys; metal building materials; transportable buildings of metal; non-electric metal cables; metal hardware; pipes and tubes of metal; metal containers; safes.


Class 7 – Machinery
Machines and machine tools; motors and engines except for land vehicles; machine coupling and transmission components; agricultural implements; incubators; automatic vending machines.


Class 8 – Hand Tools
Hand-operated tools and implements; cutlery; side arms (except firearms); razors.


Class 9 – Electronics and Software
Scientific, research, navigation, measuring and testing apparatus; electrical apparatus; recording and data processing equipment; computer software and hardware; downloadable media; fire-extinguishing apparatus.


Class 10 – Medical Devices
Surgical, medical, dental and veterinary apparatus; artificial limbs and teeth; orthopedic articles; therapeutic and assistive devices; infant care devices.


Class 11 – Environmental Control Apparatus
Apparatus for lighting, heating, cooling, cooking, refrigerating, drying, ventilating, water supply and sanitary purposes.


Class 12 – Vehicles
Vehicles and apparatus for locomotion by land, air or water.


Class 13 – Firearms and Explosives
Firearms; ammunition; explosives; fireworks.


Class 14 – Jewellery and Precious Goods
Precious metals and alloys; jewellery; precious stones; horological and chronometric instruments.


Class 15 – Musical Instruments
